A Christian Perspective on
Ministering to those who are Infected and Affected by HIV & AIDS
AIDS is very much
a part of our community and we are committed to ministering to those who are infected and affected. The Love and Compassion
of Jesus Christ is extended to people who need to be embraced by the Church and are not
to be treated as victims to be pitied or shunned. In ministry, there is a special
responsibility to care for the sick and to insure that they are treated with dignity and respect. The primary focus
of the Central Florida Haven of Hope Ministries is to meet the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs, of those we serve. Dealing with the unpopular issues that surround AIDS, and separating myth from reality,
we train local churches to minister in the midst of this epidemic. This ministry believes that the government cannot
address all of the issues that are associated with this disease, therefore, the Church must assume community leadership roles. Serving the Christian community with education in effective ministry to those who
are infected and affected by HIV and AIDS helps to dispel the stigma and fear. It is our vision for the Church to rise
up and bring hope and healing to a people who are sick, hurting, and alone.
